It's got a perfect level of thickness: a not-too-hot-not-too-cold level. This blanket (because it's washable) would also be a really pretty option to bring to the hospital for an overnight stay. Hospital beds are often a Twin or Twin XL size, though we always go oversize with blankets, because something larger will give you extra coziness.
